Meet Erika

Speech-Language Pathologist

Erika is the owner of Speak Read Write, LLC and holds national certification in Speech-Language Pathology through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She has 20 years of experience working with children with articulation, phonological, apraxia, dysarthria, receptive language, expressive language, and social communication disorders.

Erika received her Masters of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of North Carolina in 2002. She worked in private practice and public schools in North Carolina, England, Florida, Washington D.C., Ohio and Nevada before returning to her hometown of Portland in the summer of 2018. Erika lives near Forest Park with her husband, two children, and adorable dog, Persephone.

Erika founded Speak Read Write to provide high-quality, family-centered, comprehensive speech, language and literacy services. She sees preschool and school aged children in their homes. Erika loves helping kids communicate to the best of their ability! She specializes in emergent literacy, Apraxia, articulation/phonology and social communication treatment.
